This is a beautiful Casino RV Park. The only distraction was the train that runs nearby, but it doesn't run often enough to matter. There is a pool available at the Casino Hotel. They have excellent security and shuttle service from the RV Park to the Casino. We had the dinner buffet and was not impressed. This is a great place for a stop over even though it is on the expensive side. The price I quoted reflects the Good Sam's discount.

We stayed here last summer for a month and returned this summer. The park has added 1 more rv site and they are working on a small clubhouse. The manager is very friendly and will go out of the way to accomodate you. The price I quoted is for Non Elk Members. They also have a monthly rate that is very reasonable and includes electricity. Members of the Elks Club get a discount from this price. If you stay at the RV Park, you can go into the Elks Lodge which is nice but it is a smoking establishment. The RV Park Clubhouse is a Non-Smoking room. This is still a very nice park to stay at while in Jackson, MI and visiting family and friends. We will return again.

We stayed here 2 years ago and liked it then, but there have been many improvements since then that makes this a really nice park. The park now runs the adjacent restaurant and it is really a nice place to eat. The new pool is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen in a small park. They are putting concrete pads on the sites. We were not lucky enough to get one of those sites but our site was still nice gravel . The cable TV is better than most parks we have stayed at. The laundry and bathrooms were very nice as well. We will stay here again.

This park is a good family park. Lots for the kids to do. There are a lot of nice little extra touches. The pool was being repaired while we were there so can't comment. The entire park is gravel and very dusty. I would like to see concrete patios at the sites. The cable TV was very good with 65 channels. There was a lot of very old campers all over the park that made the park look worse than it is. It is a very nice place to stay while visiting Carlsbad national Park.

We stayed here 1 week. The park is clean and well maintained. The pool is inside and clean. This park has lots of nice amenities. Even free coffee and donuts in the morning. Easy on and off of I-40. Right next to The Big Texan restaurant. There is even a free limo rides from here to there. Price reflects weekly rate. A good place to stay while visiting Amarillo and Palo Duro Canyon. We'll stay here again.

This park is really nice considering the little town it's located in. The owner has really done an awesome job restoring this facility. The cable was better than most other RV parks. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The only thing I would like to see is a concrete patio at the sites. When we were there the RV Park restaurant was closed and the Burn't Biscuit was closed as well. Not much to do in Marathon, but it is a good place to park when visiting Big Bend. We would stay again when we are in the area.

We have stayed here before and will stay here again although it is priced too high for a park that does not have cable tv or a pool. It is close to the highway and you have to keep your windows closed at night to sleep. The lots are designed with the electric on the end towards the front of your RV. We don't carry 50 ft of 50 amp cord so we had to use 2 30 amp cords to reach the electric. The lots are fairly level as long as you stay in the center of the lot. It is a nice place to stay to visit OKC.

I would have to agree with some of the previous reviews in that this is one of the most unique RV Parks I have ever stayed at. It is an old Army Fort that has been converted into a gated home community with an RV Park located towards the back of the fort. The deer roam everywhere and anytime. We saw a few turkeys but lots of deer. The pool is the largest I have ever seen, 100ft X 300ft and it is located in the front of the fort. There are 2 golf courses, a 9-hole for free and an 18 hole. When you stay at the RV Park you get use of the fort amenities. If you stay here, be sure to see Alamo City, an old movie set built by John Wayne in 1959 for the filming of The Alamo. There have been over 100 other films made there since then. We will return if we are ever in the area again.

This Park is located just east of Zapata on Hwy 83. It is a winter Texan park with about ten easy in/easy out pull-through sites on the opposite side of the park. The $20 price is for the Pull Through Sites. Nice clubhouse and laundry facilities. Nice country setting, but the traffic noise from Hwy 83 is noticeable. We stayed here for one night.

We spent the 2008/2009 winter here so our rate is based on the monthly rate. We also spent 6 weeks here last winter. Last winter this was an awesome park. Since then Equity Lifestyle Systems has purchased this park and things have really gone down hill. They have replaced the manager with a new manager who is not nearly as nice as the old manager. When you stay by the month you pay your own electric. You pay this bill directly to the park office and it is the highest rate in the Valley. One month the rate was $0.214 kw. The new manager also collects all profits from the different park activities, so the activities department doesn't have a budget. We will not return to this park because of these issues. It is still a great park for Thousand Trails and weekly stays where you don't have to pay your own electric.

We stayed here for a week. It is an older park, the electric is only 30 amp and the sewer connections are not the screw in type. The lots are smaller than the newer parks, but we have a 40 ft fifth wheel and parked in one of the lots in the front with no problems. Some of the ones in the rear are very small. The owners are very nice people and really put in a lot of hours making sure everyone is happy. The pool is nice and clean. This park is located close to I-65 but far enough away so you don't have any noise. We would stay here again if we are ever back in this area.

This park used to be a KOA and has been bought out by a private owner. As the previous ratings state, the park was in bad shape due to lack of maintenance. The new owners have the place looking very nice, and they are still making improvements. There a couple of holes where they are working on plumbing but they are working on them. The lots are all gravel with grass, not perfectly level but not too bad. The pool is very large for a park this size and well maintained. They also have a store and video arcade. It is located behind a truck stop, but far enough that the noise is not a problem. It is next to I65,with very easy access, but far enough away that that noise is not a problem either. The pull through lots are long enough to leave the tow vehicle hooked up. We camped here for 1 week and the price is at the weekly rate of $175 w/tax. The nightly rate is higher. It would be a very nice park to bring the kids for a swim vacation.

It's the nicest RV Park we could find in the area. It is on the edge of the Casino parking lot. Vary clean with 24 hr security. The cable was better than most RV Parks. The pool is over to the Casino Hotel, but it is available to the RV Park residents. The worst thing about the park is the railroad that runs along side. The trains go by very slow and are noisy. They will wake you at night. That would be the only thing bad I could say about this park. The Casino food was great, but we didn't win any money. Oh Well! We will stay here again when in the area.

This is a nice clean park with a nice small pool. The concrete pads are too narrow to park rv on and still step out onto. There is a concrete pad for patio but it is too small for a fifth wheel. The lots are all pull through but are too short to park and leave another vehicle attached. Nice shuttle to the casino and the food is good. If you gamble enough, you can get your lot rent paid. We will stay here again.

This park is nothing fancy, just a place to park. It has no bathrooms or showers. It does have full hook ups with good WiFI. It is close to town and right next to I65, but not close enough to have a noise problem. It is a new park built and owned by a private individual on a budget. Like the other party said, it is part of his farm with horses and sheep in the adjacent fields. Nice country setting though. We camped here for a week while we visited several of the local attractions. We will stay here again when passing through.

This is our second time we have stayed here. The first was in Oct of 06. This is a beautiful park on a hill overlooking a golf course. The RV Park and the Golf Course are not owned by the same people. The sites are on terraced roads giving it a nice appeal. All of the streets and pads are paved, but there is not a paved patio area. When you step out of your camper, you step into the grass. The sites are very long though. Plenty of room to have your patio area in the front or rear of your camper. There is in ground sprinklers that water the grass early in the morning, so if you leave anything out, it will get wet. We have never been here when it was warm enough to swim, the pool has always been closed. There is a nice hot tub that is always open. The only caution I would have is don't park in the row next to the golf course because some rigs do get hit with stray balls. The lots farther back are nicer lots anyway. We will stay here again when we are in the area.

It is a nice park with limited amenities and activities. The park office staff aren't very friendly. We camped in a premier site, and we were very glad we did. The regular sites are far too close together for most rv's. If you have slides they will almost touch the slides on the next camper. There is a 5 acre pond, but it is fenced in all but a couple of areas. Most of the pond edges are grown up in weeds, and you cannot get up to the water. They had 2 paddle boats, but they were broken. There are no rv lots on the pond, but most have a view of the pond. They have a beautiful pool area, but they have a rule that doesn't allow alcoholic beverages. They also don't allow alcoholic beverages in the Lodge and parking lots either. I wish all parks like this that ban alcoholic beverages would learn to state this policy on their website. I could then choose another park. There are a lot people at this park who work in the surrounding areas, and they aren't as friendly as fellow rvers. We stayed here for 2 weeks, but we won't stay here again. The Passport America rate is $20.50 a night. Too expensive for what you get. The park is located right off I-35 behind a truck stop, nothing nearby.

Even though this is the best RV Park Waxahachie has to offer, it's still not much. It is located behind a storage facility. There are RV's parked in the storage facility with people living in them. There are 2 pole barn type structures with several apartments in them. The lots are very small, and the small winding drives make it very difficult to maneuver and park your rig. It is located in a very bad section of town. All in all, the drives and lots are all paved with paved small patios. I think this is because of the creek that runs along side the park. When it rains a lot, I have been told, the creek overflows into the park and it has to be evacuated. I was also told that when the creek rises to not go into the high grass along the creek because of copperhead snakes. All of the campers, except for us and one other camper, were work campers who have jobs in the area and live here. I will not stay here again, and that is too bad because Waxahachie is a nice little town close to Dallas.

This is the nicest RV Park we have found in the Rio Grande Valley. A very quiet setting. All of the sites are very large with concrete drive/patio. There is a 24/7 gate attendant. Great activities and amenities. This park has very few park models and mobile homes and they are mostly around the perimeter, so you park mainly next to other RV's. We stayed here for a month in late February and early March 2008, but we plan to spend a few months here next winter. It is located on the north side of Harlingen, which is a very nice city about 45 minutes from South Padre Island.

After staying at this park for 4 months and sending 4 emails to Sun RV Resorts Corporate offices, we decided it was time to move on. The only reason we stayed is because we already had it booked, and we wouldn't try to get out of the commitment. The corporate offices don't care about the Park Residents. I talked to a Representative of a different Sun Rv Resorts Parks at the RV Show in Mercedes, Texas. I told him I wouldn't stay at another of their parks if the rent were free. He said he would have someone from Corporate contact me, but they never did. The only thing keeping this park open is the park models and mobile homes, some of which are in terrible shape. There are several of these park models and MHs for sale, but they aren't selling. Most of the people I talked to that do own one of these units would leave this park if they could sell their unit. This park lures new people with very low rates to first time visitors. Of all of the first time visitors we talked to, none of them will ever return. The regular rates are the same as the highest rent parks in the Valley. BEWARE

It is a very nice park, not the greatest location though. Right next to expressway 83. Very noisy. The facilities are better than most, but the activities are really lacking. Most of the activities are geared towards the over 70 age group. They have some very strange park rules, no food or beverages are allowed in the pool area, exercise room (this includes water) or pool table room. They also don't allow alcoholic beverages in any of the buildings, but they don't tell you this until after you are there. Not much going on after dark. I would not recommend this park for anyone under 65 or 70 years old.

We have stayed in this park last year and this year as well. I have not really seen much improvement in the past year. The entrance is an obstacle course, through the back of a car dealership and around the office and next to a stop sign in the middle of the drive. With a large rig, you really got to watch your rig. There are many trees with lots of low branches you need to keep an eye on as well. The manager is a grouch and hard to get along with. The owner is a very nice man, but watch out for his wife. The bathrooms and showers were sorta clean, but could really use some updating. The grounds around the maintenance building looks like a dump with trash laying around. The park is located next to a very busy highway with a railroad track directly behind. Walmart and Meijer stores are directly across the highway. Needless to say, it is not a quiet place to stay. The best thing about this park is it is 1 1/2 miles from Lake Michigan and it is the best park in the area.

We stay there every year for the Milan Bluegrass Festival. The grounds are kept up very well and there is an office and arcade room. The manager and staff are great. There is no pool but they do have a swimming pond that the kids all seem to like. There is a nice playground. In the past, the park had a very bad rotten egg smell in the water, but that was corrected a couple years ago with a new filtration system. For a regular stay, the park is great, but when there is a Bluegrass Festival the crowds are so large that problems arise. The electric level drops. The water pump and filtration system cannot keep up with demands. The staff does not keep up with the showers and rest room cleanings.

This park is behind the Jackson Elks Lodge. It is on the edge of town near the intersection of I-94 and 127 North. Patrons of the park can use the Elks lounge and restaurant. This is a small park, but it is the nicest in the area with full hookups. They are planning to expand the park in 2008. They are open from May 15 to Oct 15. They also have monthly and seasonal rates available as well as reduced prices for Elks Members.

If you want an RV Park in a very quiet setting, this is the one. It is an old Amish Farm converted into a campground. There is also a large restaurant with very good food. Don't be confused by the name though, the Amish do not own, operate or work at the park or restaurant. The old house and barn are now an Amish Museum and they are very interesting to see. The grounds are beautiful and the Amish Buggies travel the roads constantly. There is a large fishing pond where I saw some Amish boys take some nice catfish. It is a very nice family setting where the kids will have a ball if they like the outdoors.

We stay every year only during the Bluegrass Festival in June. I would never think of camping here any other time. Even thought the new owners have done a lot of the work on the place it is still not a place I would recommend for camping. During the Bluegrass Festivals the park is always overbooked and the electric voltage is low. Last summer they put in new 50 amp electric, but I don't know if it is in for all of the sites. The restrooms and showers are made out of semi truck trailers, something portable like at a fair. The drive into the park is very steep and you have to be very careful when pulling in or you will drag. Most of the lots are not level so you will need boards. They raise the rates every year to where they are now higher than most RV Resorts. The Bluegrass Museum is great. The only reason I keep coming back is for the Bluegrass.
